One thing I know for sure, is that we overcome him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). No one, and I mean not one soul, can tell your story from your perspective and point of view better than you.
My name is LaKisha Irby and one thing I know is that there is power in speaking your truth. Your truth is your testimony. Your testimony is the power you have taken from the enemy that can be transformed into prosperity. My life has been a journey. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been rewarding. I read something that said the enemy doesn’t attack the assignment, he attacks the person carrying the assignment. When we come into an understanding that the attack isn’t personal, but it is against the God given assignment placed on our lives in an attempt to keep God’s heavenly plans from reaching the earth.
My failed marriage was not ordained by God in the first place. It felt wrong from the very beginning, but God allowed something beautiful to come from it, and that was my lovely daughter. Because of the failed marriage and my decision to disconnect, there was a direct attack spiritually, physically, and emotionally on my businesses, and my character by my ex husband and his immediate family members. There was even an attack on my daughter’s life that took me to a place where I had to fight like I’ve never had to fight before.
When the enemy is involved, he attacks what’s most precious to you. What I learned from this is to humble myself to allow God to fight for me. In the end, I got the victory. A word I received years ago was that I was going to dig up old wells, meaning the assignments on the lives of my forefathers that did not come to pass on their own account, or the account of the times that were going to be brought to fruition and manifested in my life. That meant because I gave God a yes, I have now become a change agent.
When you are a change agent, you will embark on unchartered territory. When you embark on uncharted territory, there are unforeseen battles you will encounter that seem unreal to the average. I’m the first in my immediate family to own multiple businesses as a full-time entrepreneur, and not to mention, as a single mother. Know that your journey in life isn’t always easy, but also know when you are changing the trajectory of generations to come, it’s necessary.
